From the Mount of Olives you have the most beautiful view of the Old City of Jerusalem, especially at sunset. Then it gets crowded up here. Tour buses can easily reach the site and Bedouins with their camels are already waiting to take photos. Still, it's worth it. There is just so much seating that everyone can find their own spot. It is particularly beautiful, but also strenuous, to climb the Mount of Olives on foot from the Garden of Gethsemane. If you have the necessary change, you can still have dinner at the Hotel 7 Arches. For German-speaking visitors, the Church of the Ascension with the Café Auguste Victoria could also be of interest. Here you can take a quiet break if the hustle and bustle of the holy city overwhelms you.
