A vista point along G349 highway, directly at the lakeshore. Located at 4441m above sea level.
Yamtso Lake, or Yamdrok Tao Lake, or Yanghu (羊湖) is a sacred lake in Tibet. At 4400m above sea level and a length of approx 250km it is a huge water reserve in the Himalayas.
At the vista point there are opportunities for food and drink. Also taking photos, with a few, with Tibetan Mastiffs, Yaks, or goats.
From Lhasa it takes almost three hours to drive here up a good mountain road with bends and turns. If you are not used to the low oxygen levels at altitudes above 4000m, better also bring oxygen canisters with you. These are available in most supermarkets in Lhasa.
