The farmers from the surrounding villages and the Berbers once lived here. A conspicuous feature here is a helicopter landing pad for transporting injured climbers who were looking for a thrill on the steep slopes opposite the gorge. Due to the requirements of the nature reserve, they are difficult to access, apparently only by rail, and with the permission of the railway, only during train breaks.
