House of the Knight (1492) Vordergasse 65
One of the most beautiful Schaffhausen town houses. Rebuilt 1566 by knights
Hans von Waldkirch, who in 1568/70 painted the facade of the famous
Schaffhausen painter Tobias Stimmer had it executed. Most important Renaissance frescoes north of the Alps. Original frescoes 1938/39 and 1943 by Carl Roesch,
Diessenhofen, masterfully recreated in the mind and spirit of Tobias Stimmer.
