The frog mill is a forest villa, which stands directly on the wild-romantic nuns. It received its idiosyncratic name only after the year 2002. She was known locally as belonging to the Hoffnungsthaler Anstalten in Lobetal.

The term "frog mill" is erroneously used in common parlance for the former new mill. The building was originally the miller's house. Today it is the Waldvilla Froschmühle at the Neue Mühle, the signs at the entrance say "Kreativhaus Neue Mühle". But one also finds the term "Helmschrots Neue Mühle", named after Karl-Heinz Helmschrot, an entertainer, director and visionary among the culture creators. He created "an optimal environment to withdraw, to work on something together, to focus, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and for an active, moving or simply relaxed time".
