From this spot along the trail you get great views over the Barranco de las Peñitas in Fuerteventura, a unique area that is reminiscent of North African landscapes. From this spot you can see both the towering cliffs and odd rock formations to one side, and the palm groves, and a dry riverbed on the other. A highlight of this trail is the Arco de las Peñitas, a natural, spindly stone arch sculpted by erosion that you get nice views of here as you hike toward it.
