    The center of Lahm, which was mentioned in a document in the 9th century, is the remarkable ensemble castle, church and lake, built by the barons of Lichtenstein. The cross-shaped central building of the Protestant-Lutheran castle church "Zur Hl. Dreieinigkeit", built in the French Baroque style in 1732, is dominated by the magnificent organ (built from 1728 to 1734 by Heinrich Gottlieb Herbst from Halberstadt). The mighty instrument with its 29 stops on three works already impressed externally by the two early pedal towers. The organ is one of the most valuable organ works in Europe. Regular organ concerts are held in the church.

The “Lahmer Concerts”. are a top-class concert series that is supervised by the Bayreuth University of Music and brings national and international artists to Lahm every year.
