The plank path also takes you up and down a - more or less - semi-circle with steps with in between the path towards the pond where the work 'The Traveller' by Will Beckers is also located, through which a part of the Odilliabeek/Odiliabron runs. Away from the old fruit trail.

ODILIABRON KERNIEL BORGLOON.
Just east of Marienlof Abbey, the landscape is structured as a kind of amphitheatre. A number of springs originate on the steep slopes of this amphitheater and come together downstream to form a small stream (Kleine Herk). The presence of mistletoe in the trees reveals that there is lime in the soil. This mistletoe occurs in trees even where the Alden Biesen Sands are not immediately on the surface but can be found much deeper in the subsoil and here the planted poplars are only accessible to the deeper roots. Another characteristic plant of this amphitheater is the giant horsetail. It is also tied to the calcareous spring water in the area. The calcareous water remains on twigs and leaves as lime tuff. In this source area, this beautiful boardwalk runs along the limestone tuff sources, through fields of giant horsetail and through the mistletoe forest.
