The Lourdes Grotto is in the garden of the house where she was born. In 1934, Therese Neumann commissioned the sculptor Josef Mayer to carve a group of figures for the grotto. The black stones for the grotto are slag residues from nearby Bohemia. Therese Neumann also wanted a watercourse with a pump to remind people of the spring in Lourdes. In 2010, the grotto was renovated, and at the moment - April 2024 - a renovation is taking place in the house where she was born, which also affects the Lourdes Grotto.
