The Krudttårnet is a listed powder tower built between 1686 and 1690 in the Fladstrand area of Frederikshavn, Denmark, as part of the fortress.
It was moved to the Frederikshavn harbor and is now a local landmark.
In 1974, it was decided to move the powder tower, which weighed around 4,500 tons, to its current location in one piece. The transport by road was 270 meters long and the move took place over a period of 13 months.

Originally, the tower stood on a headland so that enemy ship cannons could not reach the city before the ships themselves were within range of the tower's cannons.
On August 5, 1976, the powder tower was opened to the public in the presence of the royal family.

This was the base of the naval hero Tordenskiold during the Great Northern War. At the Powder Tower you will be greeted by historically dressed staff who can talk about the history of the Powder Tower, the move in the 70s as well as the maritime history of the port, the fleet, Tordenskiold and Fladstrand (now Frederikshavn).
