Located directly on the northern shore of the Engelbeck and with a beautiful wooden terrace out on the water. While you enjoy a piece of cake, a salad or a cup of coffee, you can look over the angel basin.

Incidentally, the basin was right up against the Berlin Wall at the turn of the century - and you can also see that in the houses. On the left bank are beautiful old buildings in the former West Berlin Kreuzberg and on the right bank rise modern houses from the reunification period.

If you want to keep your nose in the sun on the historic Luisenstädter Canal right on the border between Mitte and Kreuzberg, then the Café am Engelbecken is the place for you.

The café at the Engelbecken is a sunny spot in every season. In summer you can sit on the spacious terrace, hiss a cold beer or enjoy hot and cold dishes for a small appetite.

In the evenings you can look out over the beautifully lit St. Michael Church from the spacious terrace with a cocktail. When the weather is clear, even the moon is reflected in the water of the Luisenstadt Canal! In winter you shouldn't forget your ice skates, because when the canal is frozen you can ice-skate here.
