The Prince Regent Luitpold Monument in the church park was restored in 2020.
Grateful, citizens dedicated this memorial to the Bavarian ruler and patron of Bad Steben on August 10, 1913. During his reign, the spa facilities were expanded and the spa gardens were created.

Prince Regent Luitpold was a great patron of Bad Steben, and this memorial stone was erected in his honor at the Luther Church. During his reign, among other things, a new mud bath house, the column walk hall, the Park Hotel, an extension of the Kurplatz and the Kurhaus, formerly known as the Prinzregentenbau.

Bad Steben, in the Hof district, is located in the picturesque setting of the Franconian Forest. During the reign of Prince Regent Luitpold, a spa park was created there with funds from the royal treasury. Due to its historical significance, it was even declared a garden monument a few years ago.
