Ernest Borràs was a Catalan artist, musician and composer who was born in 1928 and who settled in Dosrius in the 80s.
For more than 30 years he wanted to make the forest that surrounded his estate an open-air museum, so he kept placing sculptures in the forest, so that there is a fusion between art and nature. He explained that it was nature that inspired him: first he saw the place and then the work emerged.
On the stretch of open road that passes by the Can Salvi estate, which the artist and his wife (ceramist Berta Julivert) called "El Camí dels Retaules", there are placed in strategic places a dozen and a half of sculptural compositions representative of his work.
On the other hand, there are works that are inside the estate where Ernest and Berta lived. To enter this part, you have to pay and a reservation is essential.
