The Sint-Niklaaskerk was originally a Romanesque chapel. After the city fire of 1333 it was converted into a Gothic hall church, which did not escape the destruction in 1914. The interior houses a wealth of religious art. The Gothic church is located near the Grote Markt, behind the town hall.
