    Sletterhage Fyr is a Danish lighthouse at the southernmost point of the Helgenæs peninsula in Djursland. The sea light has been providing orientation in the Århus Bay since it was put into operation in 1894 and marks the northern end of the east-west passage between the Mols peninsula in the north and the islands of Samsø and Tunø in the south. In summer, the tower is open to visitors in the afternoons. There is a small exhibition in the building at the foot of the tower. From the tower, there is a hiking trail along the south coast eastwards to a watchtower ruin (Tyskertårnet) from the time of the German occupation of Denmark in World War II on a hill. From there, there is a great view. About 500 m north along the coast are further concrete foundations and ruins, which have been converted into a bivouac site for kayakers. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sletterhage_Fyr

      If you're in the area, the Helgenæs lighthouse (Sletterhage Fyr) is a worthwhile destination and a beautiful starting point for a hike along the sometimes foaming Baltic Sea. Typical Kattegat.

          The ice cream from the car is delicious and the employee speaks German. Children who have found a stone with a hole on the beach and hand it over will receive a lollipop for it.
          If you are lucky you can see porpoises.
          A visit is also worthwhile for geocachers.

              In summer the tower is open to visitors in the afternoon. There is a small exhibition in the building at the foot of the tower. A small kiosk and public toilets can also be found here at the parking lot.
