The view from the 20 meter high (with spire) concrete tower (one of the first of its kind in 1912) in the direction of the Alps ranges from the Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau to Mont Blanc. Below the tower you can see the three lakes Bielersee, Murtensee and Neuenburgersee. 58 steps lead to the viewing platform. This is somehow reminiscent of a minaret. If you want access to the tower, you have to go through a turnstile at the entrance. The price for the visit is CHF 1. So you have to throw in exactly one one-frank. Other small change does not work!!! Incidentally, the tower once served as a lighthouse for Neuchâtel shipping. No visit to the Chaumont without a visit to the tower.
