The Plage de l'Arène beach in Cassis is located east of the city center and at the foot of Cap Canaille. This little-known pebbly and rocky beach is not very popular. The environment is beautiful, the beach is surrounded by pine trees and vineyards. Because of the rocks, swimming is not always easy. On the other hand, this beach is excellent for diving and spearfishing in a very rich fishing ground. On the left (below Cap Canaille) there are a few small, hidden beaches (caution, sometimes there is a risk of falling rocks, there are a few nudist bathers).

To get to Plage de l'Arène, head towards Cap Canaille from the city center. After the stadium, continue for 300 meters and after the vineyard, turn right into the cul-de-sac (be careful if you come by car, the last 50 meters are closed to cars - park in the parking lot on the left). If you take the Route des Crètes, you will come to a small free car park (about 20 spaces). The beach is accessible by stairs.
