Castle of Zuurbemde
The Castle 'De La Coste' in Zuurbemde has been a permanent feature of the village view of Glabbeek-Zuurbemde since the middle of the 19th century.
In 1820, Edmond-Charles de la Coste started building the central block of the current horseshoe-shaped castle of Zuurbemde. Later - after a devastating fire - the castle was rebuilt and wings & side blocks were added.
The park grounds also contain a number of beautiful ponds and a historic ice cellar with dome vault...
