Liver Å (stream) meanders through Vendsyssel and the outlet runs along Hundelev Å. In total, the stream is 20 km long and has its mouth at Kærsgård Strand. The area by the Liver Bach has been protected since 1956 and is part of the Natura 2000 area, the Vandplasken.
The area of Vandplasken is a special area where you can experience the "black sun" in autumn when the starlings gather in huge flocks of thousands. The open landscape at the outlet offers a rich bird and animal world as well as special plants. The best way to cross the stream is over the beautiful wooden bridge.
