In my opinion, the name of the hiking highlight “replica watchtower” is not entirely correct. At this point, a complete section of the Berlin Wall was restored in its historical setting with the hinterland and border wall, signal fence, guard path, border lights, control strips and a guard tower. It doesn't have to be the original one that used to stand here. The entire section is a monument called “The Wall and the Death Strip” and can only be seen in its entirety from the tower of the Berlin Wall Documentation Center opposite.

From the Berlin Wall Documentation Center across the street, you can look over the wall and see a replica of a watchtower and the death strip.
