Bode Museum, Berlin
The Bode Museum in Berlin's Mitte district is part of the Museum Island building ensemble and is therefore a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built on behalf of Kaiser Wilhelm II from 1898 to 1904 by Ernst von Ihne in the neo-baroque style as the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, it is home to the sculpture collection and the Museum of Byzantine Art as well as the coin cabinet. On the forecourt was the equestrian statue of Frederick III created by Rudolf Maison, which was destroyed during the GDR era.

One of my absolute favorite places in Berlin! Directly on the banks of the Spree, below the Monbijou Theater, there is a beach bar where various dance styles are regularly taught for a small fee. From 8 p.m., an open dance floor attracts dancers of all talent levels to swing or foxtrot. Theme evenings vary and leave nothing to be desired! Great atmosphere with a great view of the Spree and the Bodemuseum.

This building is simply beautiful to look at, both from the outside in Neo Baroque style and the interior values match the sculpture collection.
