It is called FRIDOLIN, and it belongs to the harbor as well as ships, cranes, sheds and quays. The legendary VT 4.42 railbus is technically in top form today after extensive repair work.

In 2008, the MAN Diesel light railcar from 1956 became the property of the Hamburg Maritim Foundation. Fridolin has been open to the public on weekends since April 2017 - whether chartered exclusively or for public tours.

The Association of Friends of the historic harbor railway ensures that Fridolin never runs out of steam on its 300 kilometers of harbor railways. The starting point for the exploration by railcar is the Kleine Grasbrook, between the harbor museum and the BLEACH.
