The 16 hectare and beautifully landscaped Harmony Beach Park can be used free of charge. No wonder it's already very popular with locals. Montego Bay does not have a free public beach with the amenities of Harmony Beach. There is no comparable beach anywhere else in Jamaica where this applies. Well-maintained and free changing rooms, showers and toilets are a matter of course, as is a lifeguard who is on site during the beach's opening hours. The water is pleasantly warm, like almost everywhere in the Caribbean, and due to the raised breakwater, it is quite calm and suitable for swimming.
