The Spree is a river that flows through the eastern part of Germany, including the capital Berlin. It is about 400 kilometers long and is a left tributary of the Havel. The Spree rises in the Lusatian Mountains near the Czech border and meanders through the federal states of Saxony, Brandenburg and Berlin before flowing into the Havel in Spandau.
