The building that can still be seen was the former goat stable. The Obersteigerhaus can only be seen in old photos. A nice lost place.

The only lost place on the Fortuna mine site. The outlines of the property above the engine room and the mine elevator can still be seen, even if they are overgrown. All that remains is the goat shed. The head miner lived here with his family until the mine closed, isolated from the settlements of Oberbiel, Niederbiel and Hermannstein. In 1945, a robbery and murder took place here, which was never solved.
