The Riga Stock Exchange Art Museum is located in the historical center of Riga and is a new kind of museum. It has been open to visitors since 2011. Here the east meets the west and this is where a dialogue takes place between the classic and the contemporary. An important aspect of the museum is the harmony between knowledge and recreation, as well as the breaking down of boundaries between different art forms.

The museum is housed in the building of the Riga Stock Exchange, which was built between 1852 and 1855 and is now a state architectural monument. The palazzo forms from the Renaissance in Venice were recreated here, which are supposed to symbolize wealth and abundance. The building was constructed according to the design of the St Petersburg architect of German descent Harald Julius von Bosse (1812-1894).

After successful renovation work, the art museum "Riga Stock Exchange" now houses modernly equipped exhibition halls, various expositions, a "small school" intended for children, seminar and conference rooms, a café and a souvenir and art shop on six floors.
