Sent is a picturesque village in the Lower Engadine, known for its splendid architecture and scenic location. Perched on a sunny terrace, it offers magnificent views of the Inn Valley. Its historic center is a true marvel, with typical Engadine houses decorated with elaborate sgraffito.

Sent is also a cultural and artistic hub, with numerous galleries and studios, and is an ideal starting point for hikes and walks.

Sent's most famous offspring have achieved worldwide fame, yet all have returned sooner or later. The village chronicle and architecture speak volumes about the era of emigration. To this day, the once largest village in the Lower Engadin remains a prime example of Romansh culture.

This can be seen, heard, and felt everywhere – even on the palate. Traditional cheesemaking, butchery, and confectionery crafts dominate the bustling streets. The landscape between Val Sinestra and Val d'Uina is sometimes lovely, sometimes dramatic, and equally popular with hikers and bikers – and it seduces its observers. Once you get to know Sent, you'll understand every single returnee.
