Scuol-Tarasp railway station
The castle-like main building has a loggia and a clock tower. The stairwells emerge in a semicircle. To the southwest of it is a goods shed with brick corner pillars. The buildings were created in 1913 by Meinrad Lorenz.
After the main building had been neglected for a long time, the protected building was renovated in 2009 by the Chur architects Maurus Frei und Partner for around 3 million francs. Due to new internal RhB guidelines, special emphasis was placed on the preservation of the building fabric and the cooperation with the cantonal monument protection. The station square was also redesigned and a platform roof was built, which covers the newly built central platform and extends to the bus stops.
Since it was planned to extend the line to Landeck, the station was designed as a through station. The eastern pull-out track, also known as the Tirolerstumpen, indicates the location of the planned extension. The First World War marked the end.
