In the last large Moselbogen before Koblenz lies, about 13 km from the mouth in the Rhine away, the 922 as Dunericha first mentioned Dieblich.
In the past, the slope was the basis for intensive agriculture.
Around 1800, the winegrowing in Dieblich with 274000 floor (mostly red wine) was of paramount importance. Today mainly Riesling grapes are grown on only 2 hectares.
For this, the fruit growing has developed strongly. Dieblich is a place of cherries and at the time of flowering its magnificent white orchards attract many visitors.
