Gorgeous color!
Partly in May still snow and ice on the lake. But a lot of hormone-controlled frogs / toads.
In September you can see the young ones.
In June we had already seen loads of tadpoles and fish jumping out of the water.
Idyllic and beautiful.
Sometimes people grill or fish at the edge. Extra waste bins for fish waste are available (at the Chrindi middle station there is even an extra place to gut fish).

Due to its location, the Oberstockensee is often confused with the Hinterstockensee. It lies romantically in an almost circular depression and invites you to swim, barbecue and fish. When there is no wind, its surface reflects the surrounding landscape crystal clear. Incidentally, both lakes are absolute photo motifs that hardly an eye and certainly no camera can escape.
