The restaurant at the mountain station on the Stockhorn has a beautiful terrace with a great view of the mountains. You can see the Bernese Alps, including the Eiger and Mönch. A nice place to stay. The food is good and the prices reasonable. A nice place after the long ascent to the Stockhorn.

If you can come to terms with the fact that in the high season, but also on nice weekends, there are hundreds of hikers and tourists in the mountain restaurant (large sun terrace where it is often noisy) and on the Stockhornspitze, then you should visit highly recommended up here. We are locals and love the Stockhorn with its two lakes. From Lake Thun, it is probably the most striking mountain in the region next to the Niesen. The 360° all-round view has it all and for those with a head for heights there is a glass floor viewing platform behind the restaurant and accessible through a tunnel.
