      At the Ladies' View you have a wonderful panoramic view of the lakes of Killarney and the surrounding trees. The High Altitude café with an attached souvenir shop is also located directly at the view.

      You can also take the shuttle bus from Killarney to get to Ladies' View. The bus departs daily from Killarney to Ladies' View at 12:20 p.m. and back again at 2 p.m.

          Nice place with a view over the lakes and a cafe for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, the sightseeing bus that used to leave here (before the pandemic) towards Killarney no longer exists. So walkers on the Kerry Way who end their tour here have no option of getting to Killarney by public transport. It remains only to take a taxi or hitchhike.

            Back in 1861, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert came to visit the region by horse and carriage, accompanied by her ladies-in-waiting. While on their way to Muckross House, where they were staying as guests, the Queen and her companions decided to stop for a picnic. It’s said that the group were so stricken by the view, that it was named after them. When you arrive, it won’t take you long to see why they were so taken by this corner of Kerry.
