Here you feel like you are in the Wild West! The simple circular hike at the Roques de Garcia is a real highlight. If you stop at the parking lot or arrive by bus, this rock formation is one of the first to see. With the Teide in the background, it is simply impressive.

The rock, also known as the “Finger of God”, is particularly astonishing due to its shape, which is reminiscent of an upright needle, with the needle head protruding upwards.
The reason for this is that the lower layers of rock are softer than the upper ones and therefore give in more quickly to erosion caused by rain, wind and ice. In this way, the foundation of the Roque is continually undermined until one day it collapses.
However, there will probably still be a lot of time before this event, which will give countless crowds of holidaymakers plenty of opportunity to photograph the 30 meter high Roque Cinchado with the Teide towering over it in the background.
