In the Windmühlenbruch / Nettebruch nature experience area, the focus is on human use of the area. In the adventure playground on the lakeshore, children can really let off steam in the water and mud area, while picnics and ball games are played on the large lawns. The quiet and at the same time close to the center area attracts many people looking for relaxation in every season.

New hiking trails and bridges lead to orchards and rows of fruit trees around the two lakes. The tree and shrub plantations and the renatured small watercourses alternate harmoniously with arable and pasture areas. Information boards explain the human use of the landscape in the past centuries, the formation of lakes through peat extraction, the problems of increasing siltation and successful desludging in the recent past. The use of wind and water power is explained at the existing or former mill locations.

Nice recreation area, but not very quiet due to the nearby playground. There is a dream lounger at the Windmühlenbruch.

A circular hiking trail leads around the lake - an adventure playground with a picnic area offers children and adults a wide range of opportunities. The lake was created from peat extraction.
