The Nette lakes are part of the Schwalm-Nette nature park and take their name from the Nette river, which was partially dammed. This created several lakes, which were also enlarged by peat extraction. This is about the Breyeller See and the "Zum Schänzchen" is where you can stop and there is a playground for children.

There is always something soothing about paths along the water. Unfortunately, the narrow bank path was closed today due to storm damage. The chainsaw was running all the time. There were no problems on the bank side on the Lobberich side.
