This huge expanse of water that looks like a turquoise sea is fed by Lake Sköttsberg and the Rio Paine through Lake Nordenskjöld.

Lake Pehoe serves as an entry or exit point to the O and W treks. You can indeed take a ferry to get from one end of the lake to the other. This crossing is also an opportunity to enjoy new views of Los Cuernos and the Paine Grande, but also to approach the Salto Grande, a huge weir that allows the waters of the Nordenskjöld to arrive in Lake Pehoe.

It's best to buy tickets for the ferry across the lake in advance at: catamaranpehoe.com. Round trips must be booked separately and cost €26 per person each way.

In summer, there are four ferries per day.
