What's that floating there? Ice blocks of all sizes are drifting on Lago Grey. The closer you get to the Grey Glacier, the more ice blocks you can see. It's quite impressive what the glacier sheds.
From a small rise, you have a fantastic view of the two glacier terminus sections that encircle La Isla. Even from a distance, you can get a sense of the sheer scale of the ice masses. Truly gigantic!

Here is another opportunity for a break on the way to Refugio Gray. From here it is mostly downhill. So again enjoy the view and recharge your batteries.
