Frederiksholms Canal is the part of the canal around Slotsholmen in Copenhagen that stretches from Stormbroen to the harbor at Langebro. On the way it is crossed by the Marble Bridge, the Prince Bridge and the Brewery Bridge.

The canal is an extension of the Slotsholm Canal, which runs around the rest of Slotsholmen.

Until the 1660s, the area where the canal and the Frederiksholm Quarter now stood was a shallow area. It was a vulnerable spot in the city's fortifications and it was here that the main Swedish attack took place during the storming of Copenhagen in 1659. In order to better protect Slotsholmen, which at that time housed both Copenhagen Castle and the Navy, Vestervold was subsequently extended into the water. The area behind the wall was also filled in so that a new quarter, Frederiksholm, could be built. Frederiksholm's canal was excavated in 1681.
