The Jardin des Tuileries (German Tuileries Garden) is a French-style former baroque palace park at the Louvre in Paris. The park extends from the Place de la Concorde in the west to the Louvre in the east and is bounded by the right bank of the Seine in the south and by the Rue de Rivoli in the north.

The Jardin des Tuileries bears its name because of the tile factory that existed in the place where Queen Catherine de Médicis had the Palais des Tuileries built in 1564, which has now disappeared. The famous gardener of the king, André Le Nôtre, gave it its current appearance as a French garden from the year 1664. The garden, which separates the musée du Louvre from the place de la Concorde, is a place of promenade for Parisians and tourists, and you can statues by Maillol, others by Rodin or Giacometti.

Large garden between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre. Especially when the weather is good, many Parisians come here to relax, preferably around the pond. Many places in the park have chairs to sit on. On summer days it is very busy here, but there is a friendly atmosphere.
