LUTHER'S CAPTURE AT STEINBACH

200 meters from today's monument

removed Luther was captured on May 4, 1521 for his protection. On the way back from Worms, he drove with his friend Nikolaus von Amsdorf and the friar Johann Pezensteiner via Möhra into the Steinbacher Flur, up to the Eselskopf.
