The Hellenthal game reserve is a special destination for the whole family. In the middle of the park area is the bird of prey station, which is known beyond the region and is the heart of the facility, where almost all birds of prey are at home. During the flight demonstrations, which take place several times a day, eagles, buzzards, kites and falcons are admired in their impressive free flight.
Lightning-fast falcons chase the feather game at 320 km / h, the falconer's tool, so to speak. The majestic eagles soar several hundred meters into the air or fly by a hair over the heads of the visitors. During the air show, the falconers comment on interesting and useful information on the individual species in a relaxed manner. The breeding successes of the station are impressive, many grapples have been released into the wild in recent years.

In addition to the birds of prey, visitors to the 65 hectare park area come across mainly native species such as red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, fox and the rare lynx. The lively wild boars, the funny raccoons and the mysterious lynxes are fed at set times each day.

A visit to the Hellenthal game reserve with the famous bird of prey station is interesting at any time of the year. A special experience is of course looking at the young animals such as freshlings, little mouflon lambs, goats, red deer, lynx and raccoons in spring. Indian village and a riding school open on weekends complete the program. Adler-Express and an Indian village, which is only open on weekends and during the holiday season, complete the offer.
