The Saint-Clément aqueduct is an aqueduct located in the municipalities of Saint-Clément-de-Rivière, Montferrier-sur-Lez and Montpellier in the French department of Hérault in the Occitanie region.

Since the 13th century, several projects have been developed to bring water from sources outside Montpellier to the city1.

In 1751, the decision was taken by the city council of Montpellier to build an aqueduct between Saint-Clément-de-Rivière and the Promenade du Peyrou in Montpellier2. It was built between 1753 and 1765 to supply the city of Montpellier with water. It is Henri Pitot, a French hydraulic engineer, who is in charge of its realization.

The part of the aqueduct located between the Peyrou water tower bridge and the Arcades reservoir, including this reservoir, is listed as a historical monument by order of March 9, 19543. The aqueduct bridge located in the communes of Saint-Clément-de-Rivière and Montferrier-sur-Lez was registered on August 19, 19944.
