The town hall right next to the church was built in the 16th century in the Renaissance style and features a penthouse, an architectural element characteristic of the German Renaissance. The town hall is a typical example of Franconian sandstone construction. As part of an extensive monument-appropriate renovation, the historic building structure was made visible again as far as possible. In the meantime, however, the city administration has moved to premises on Röderstraße, with the exception of the cultural office, which is why the town hall is now officially called the Kultur-Rathaus.
