    Monte Bisbino is one of the symbols of the entire city of Como, in all sports.
    Here you can admire a wonderful view of the Muggio Valley, Lake Como and the Intelvi Valley.
    At the top there is also a sanctuary dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

      Monte Bisbino is 1325 m high and hugs the right flank of the Muggio Valley, which follows part of the Italian-Swiss border. At the top of this magnificent mountain, in addition to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary (one of the holy sites of Marian cult deeply rooted in the regional tradition), one can still see the ruins of trenches, artillery posts and tunnels built during the First World War .
      Visiting the Piccolo Museo Storico del Bisbino (Bisbino's small historical museum) will also allow you to get to know the history of the place up close, the times of smuggling and rural activities from different eras. From this summit you can also admire a fascinating panorama from the Alps to the Po Valley.
      History, nature, tradition, sport and tourism are what this beautiful mountain has to offer, to which the name Gin is also dedicated.

                Madonna of Monte Bisbino

                The Sanctuary is located in Monte Bisbino at 1314 m. above sea level in the municipality of Cernobbio.

                At the ancient newsstand of the century. In the 15th century, the characteristic current church, described by Ninguarda in 1592, was replaced. Two icons are venerated there: one in marble (1700) and a small one in wood. The church is a destination for pilgrimages especially from the parishes of the area.

                Near the church there was a small "hospice" for pilgrims, currently a resting place for hikers who are still numerous on Sundays and in the summer.
