The Nauburg City Museum was awarded the Sparkassenstiftung's Museum Prize. The Hohe Lilie Museum is in a building, the oldest part of which is a Romanesque stone structure (built around 1250), which historical sources usually refer to as the Kemenate. After the severe city fire of 1517, the tower and two extensions dating back to the 15th century were redesigned in the style of the time in the years 1526–1532. (Source: Wikipedia)

The “Hohe Lilie” house is one of the most remarkable town houses in Naumburg’s old town. The street-side tower (a so-called “bower”) was built in the middle of the 13th century, two extensions probably date from the 15th century, and a fourth extension dates from the Baroque period. This makes the “Hohe Lilie” one of the oldest inner-city museum buildings.
