Architecturally impressive train station.

And as soon as you arrive, you'll encounter the first dwarf waiting in front of the main entrance – so typical of Wrocław.

There's even a really good "Mleczny Bar" inside. There you can get excellent food for your train ride at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The Wrocław Main Railway Station (Bahnhof der Oberschlesischen und Breslau-Posen-Glogauer Eisenbahn) was built in 1855-57 according to the design of the royal builder Wilhelm Grapow in the Tudor Gothic style. It was the fourth historically important facility of this type in what was then Breslau.
The reconstruction in 2010-2012 was a milestone in the history of Wrocław Główny railway station. The investment covered the entire complex. The station square has changed its appearance, which has become a real city square with green islands, tidy greenery, promenades, colorful fountains and new small architecture

A lot of changes are visible on the platforms and in tunnels. In these places, the works were of a reconstruction nature (e.g. steel construction elements of platform halls were restored or skylights were restored) and were carried out in consultation with the conservator of monuments. A new element was the creation of a fragment of a platform hall covered with a membrane between two historic halls. From the point of view of travelers, the greatest advantage in this part of the station complex is the appearance of escalators to the platforms from the side of the city tunnel, as well as luggage belts at the stairs leading to the central tunnel to the platform. Disabled people can get to the platforms using new lifts and a special platform at platform 5.
