When nature calls, Rauschenberg answers with a promising echo. Every step on this magnificent mountain path takes the hiker deeper into the heart of the wilderness, where roots stretch out of the earth like old hands and the path sometimes becomes so narrow that it seems to threaten to disappear into nothingness.

The path meanders in a rustic and enchanted way around the summit of the Rauschenberg, repeatedly passing small views that look like windows into another world. Here the view opens up to the south, where you can catch a brief glimpse of the base of the former fire station tower, which once proudly adorned the summit of the mountain. A relic of bygone days, whose access is no longer open, but whose presence still keeps alive the stories and secrets of the mountain.

During the hike you feel the raw power of nature, the untouchedness of the place where the wind sings through the trees and the ground seems to be alive under your feet. It's as if the Rauschenberg whispers: "Come closer, discover my secrets, but treat me with respect."

Quaint, rooted and sometimes very narrow on the precipice, the path leads once around the actual summit of the Rauschenberg. From us there are a few views to the south and also up to the base of the former fire watch tower on the summit of the mountain. However, access there is no longer open.

There was a forest fire here a few years ago. You can clearly see how nature is recovering. The trail runs over and along the mountain ridge.
