The impressive four-wing complex was built at the end of the 18th century by the Frankfurt merchant Thomas de Vins, who built a cloth factory here. This was followed by manufacturing rooms in the other wings of the building. In 1997 the VIERSEITHOF, which was restored under monument protection regulations, was opened as a hotel and restaurant.
