            The source of the Förmitzbach is located on the northern slope of the small Waldstein at an altitude of 645 meters and was framed by the Fichtelgebirgsverein in 1985. The Förmitztalsperre, which is used to regulate the water level in the Saale, is fed with the water from the brook.
