Built in 1836 as a barn in the Lehrter Alten Dorf. In 1950, the building moved to the city park. Since 1985 it is used as a clubhouse of the Lehrter men's choir.

The half-timbered house in the city park is now a venue where many small concerts take place. It belongs to the city and serves as a clubhouse for the Lehrter men's choir.
The building itself dates from 1836 and was used as a barn on Hagenstrasse in the old village. In 1946 it was moved to Markscheiderweg, where it was used by a nursery. Just one year later, the city bought the building in order to rebuild it in the Lehrter city park in the style of a Lower Saxony farmhouse. It was supposed to be a local museum. However, this use was never realized.
After schools, daycare centers, counseling services or the municipal library used the rooms over the years, it became a cultural site in 1985, which it still is today.
